Job Title: Senior Environment Manager Job ID: 611096 Apply Before: 10/09/2017 Location: Marion County Salary: Regular $43,342.00 Agency Environmental Managemen Indianapolis, Marion County, I Job Description: The Watershed Specialist position reports to the Section Chief of the Watershed Planning and Restoration Section, within the Watershed Assessment and Planning Branch, Office of Water Quality of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. The Watershed Specialist is responsible for coordinating, advising and assisting locally led watershed management activities within assigned watersheds, working with local, state and federal entities to integrate watershed planning into local level planning and implementation. The Watershed Specliast is also charged with the administration of Clean Water Act Section 319(h)/205(j) nonpoint source pollution grant projects within their assigned watersheds. The work peformed by this position is essential for ensuring the completion of goals and objectives set forth by the 2014 Indiana State Nonpoint Source Plan. Responsibilities: Coordinate Local/Regional Watershed Planning Activities Identify and meet regulary with local watershed groups in your service area to assist in all stages of watershed management, including long term planning and implemenation, organziational development, technical assistance, financial development, educational development and performance tracking. Participate in Regional and State Work-Related Committees as Needed Coordinate and Integrate Federal, State and Local Programs  at the Watershed Level Act as a liaison between agencies, universities, organizations and local officials in regards to watershed planning Work on the Indiana State Nonpoint Source Management Plan goals and objectives as assigned NPS Grant Project Management Assist applicants in proposal development and participate in annual application review Prepare legal grant agreement documents for funded applicants Manage grant agreements, including invoices, data entry and in person site visits Review watershed managment plan drafts and participate in review committees Preferred Experience: Six (6) years work experience in an environmental or environmental public health field or accredited college training in a related field.
